Pricing and margin management in Granditude Commerce
Pricing software that starts from the margin you need
Granditude Pricing Optimisation holds the selling price, regular price, recommended retail price and cost for every product, and shows the margin that falls out of them. Work from either end: type a price and see the margin, or type the margin you need and let the price follow.

Prices set in a spreadsheet stop being right the day cost changes
Most merchants price in spreadsheets, export them to the shop and hope nothing has changed since. When a supplier raises a price, the margin quietly disappears, and nobody notices until the quarter is over.
Granditude Pricing Optimisation keeps cost and price together. The current cost arrives from purchasing as goods are received, the margin is recalculated, and every price change reaches the shop and the order desk at once.
Sound familiar?
- Margins nobody can see until the accounts are closed
- Campaigns that keep running long after they should have stopped
- B2B price lists kept in a separate document per customer
What Granditude Pricing Optimisation does
- Margin-driven pricing
- Enter a target margin and the price is calculated from current cost, the VAT that applies and the rounding rule for the market or channel.
- Campaigns by brand, category or tag
- Discount a whole brand, category or tag at once. Every product carrying it follows, with progress shown while the change is applied.
- B2B customer price lists
- Give a customer company its own prices: per product, by rule, or inherited from a group of companies on the same agreement.
- Volume discounts
- Quantity tiers per product, shown in the shop and applied on orders.
- Channel prices
- Override the standard or sale price for one sales channel while everything else follows the market.
- VAT that resolves itself
- VAT is taken from the product, otherwise its category, otherwise the market. Prices can be shown with or without VAT.
- Bulk updates
- Filter the catalogue and change prices, VAT or tags for every matching product in one operation.
- Full price history
- Every price change is kept with its timestamp, for the market and for each channel.
How a price change reaches the customer
Cost arrives
The weighted purchase price is published from purchasing when goods are received.
The margin is recalculated
Pricing shows the new margin on the selling and regular price.
You set the price
Adjust the price directly, by target margin, or through a campaign or price list.
Everyone gets it
The new price is published to the storefront, the order desk and connected systems at the same time.
Part of one platform, not another silo
Pricing Optimisation never talks to another application directly. It publishes what it owns to Connect once, and receives what it needs the same way. That is why the numbers stay the same in every system.
Who uses it
- Pricing and category managers set prices, margins and campaigns.
- Sales and key account managers maintain B2B price lists and customer groups.
- Owners and controllers keep an eye on margin across the range.

Questions about Pricing Optimisation
How does margin-based pricing work?
Enter the margin you want and Granditude Pricing Optimisation calculates the price from the current cost, the applicable VAT and the rounding rule for the market or channel. Enter a price instead and it shows the resulting margin.
Where does the cost price come from?
From Granditude Purchase Management, which recalculates the weighted average purchase price each time goods are received and publishes it to Pricing.
Can I run a campaign on a whole brand or category?
Yes. Campaigns are set on a brand, category or tag, and every product carrying it is repriced. When the campaign is turned off, prices fall back automatically.
Can different B2B customers have different prices?
Yes. Each customer company can have its own prices, set per product, by rule, or through a group of companies on the same agreement. The prices reach the shop and the order desk automatically.
Can prices differ between sales channels?
Yes. The standard price, sale price and volume tiers can be overridden per channel, while everything else follows the market.
How is VAT handled?
VAT resolves from the most specific rule: the product's own rate, otherwise its category's, otherwise the market's. Prices are stored including VAT and can be displayed excluding VAT per market.
